Will You Marry Me? Yes, I will!
Mr. Jesse Silva proposed to Rachael last night, Wednesday, December 5, 2007. Rachael joyously accepted and they plan to be married September 6, 2008 in 9 short months! Jesse took Greg out to lunch to ask permission to marry Rachael. Five hours later they return only for Jesse to take Rachael out to dinner and propose. He was emotionally and physically drained and when they returned (engaged!) he fell right to sleep on the couch!
Rachael surprised Christiana with the news and asked her to be her Maid of Honor. There was much screaming and jumping, and even some tears of joy
Jesse lives in Hood River. He is the oldest child, only son, and has a younger sister. He was educated at home and is currently working for Les Schwab in Hood River. He enjoys mechanics and plans to stay in that field. The happy couple plan to live in Hood River when they are married.

The Day After
Friday, the day after Thanksgiving the Derouins came to Lynnwood and after I took this picture of the (older) boys I told them all to look at me and I have never cleared a room faster than that very moment!!! Good thing I took a picture first! I certainly wasn't getting a second one!
Can anyone identify this hand?

Popsicle Boy
Mrs. Handy's 4th grade class put on four skits for us today. Benjamin was the popsicle boy in his skit. It was patterned after the Gingerbread Man. The popsicle ran away from all of it's would-be eaters, said, "I'm the popsicle boy and you can't catch me" . He finally ran to the beach, laid in the sun until he melted into a puddle of juice. Great job Ben!

Andrew's Class Author's Tea
Andrew's class had an Author's Tea last week. Each student wrote and illustrated a book and invited their parents to come hear each of them read their book and sit and chat while we ate cookies and tea (or apple cider for the non-tea drinkers). Greg and I had a great time with Andrew and his class. We are very proud of him.
