Happy 20th Birthday Rachael!

Jesse & Rachael came Friday night with an early Christmas gift for the kids...a new puppy named Toby. He is Tucker's brother. The kids were very excited and love their new puppy. Goodbye Tucker

Last week we found out that Tucker's eating disorder was fatal. It had caused pneumonia and Tucker was very sick. Jessica did her best to nurse him back to health but he died Tuesday morning shortly after this picture.

Goodbye Tucker, you were well loved.

Camping In Astoria

Our last camping trip of the season was at Ft. Stevens in Astoria. We stayed in a yurt. The boys built good fires for us to make dinner and s'mores! At this camp site there is access to a fresh water lake, Lake Coffenbury, the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean. One spot on the ocean is where the Iredale shipwreck is still standing from 1906. The kids had fun running down the dunes and playing in the water. We will post those pictures later when we get the disposable camera photo's developed. The photos we got on the digital before the battery died will follow.

Fort Stevens

We even got to ride in this 1950 Deuce-and-a-half around the Fort with a taped audio tour playing over the "dinging" engine.

Rebekah's sand flip flops

Apparently Reba's flip flops were wet and when she took them off to walk in the sand the sand stuck to where the flip flops had gotten her feet wet!

Fishing Fridays

Greg works short days on Fridays and the kids don't have school on Fridays so it is a good day to go fishing because "everyone" else is at work or school.

The lake has been a fun place to be this summer!

Tucker

We would like to introduce you to the newest member of our family...Tucker.

He is Jessica's little boy and he is quite spunky!

Columbia River Exploration

Corbett Grade School is studying the Columbia River Gorge this year. One of their first field trips was to ride the Sternwheeler on the River. Mom chaperoned and was in charge of Andrew and his friend. Their were the anchor bay and captains room tours and they each got a chance to shoot the fire hose. Great fun!!!

We crossed Benjamin's path several times so I got to experience the event with both boys.
